Anti-HBV Prophylactic Effect of Antiretroviral Therapy
In a study published online in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases, a team of researchers at Japan’s National Center for Global Health and Medicine have observed that antiretroviral therapy that includes lamivudine or tenofovir also appears to provide a prophylactic effect against infection with the hepatitis B virus (HBV).
